ABOUT
ELY VIKINGS KORFBALL CLUB
We are a thriving korfball club with three senior
teams in the Cambridgeshire Korfball League.

In 2015/2016 our first team won the overall championship for the first time in our ten-year history.
As well as seniors there is a growing junior section which plays regular tournaments. Nine Vikings players have gone on to represent England at international level. Korfball is a game which is attracting those of all ages – from 13 to 65+ in our current senior squads.
It is a great game for families, and a wonderful opportunity for parents to play competitively with their children.

We meet each Monday evening in the sports hall at
The Hive Leisure Centre - 6pm (juniors aged 7-13, for one hour) and 7pm (seniors, for two hours.) No previous experience is required - just turn up and enjoy your first free session.
WHAT IS KORFBALL?
Korfball is a mixed-sex team sport played by hand within a rectangular field of play. Teams of four female players and four male players try to shoot a ball into a korf (basket).
The sport’s main characteristics encompass all-round skills, co-operative play, controlled physical contact and gender equality.

Originating in Holland, Korfball is now played internationally in 57 different countries.
